The biggest decisions on a project are made before construction starts. Our pre-construction team helps you set a realistic budget, pick systems that make sense over the life of the building and catch problems while they are still cheap to fix.

With design-build, McLean holds one contract for both design and construction. Our architects and engineers work next to our estimators, so the drawings can be built for the budget, and one company is responsible for the result.

If you are not ready for a full contract, we also offer pre-construction services on their own: feasibility studies, early estimates, constructability reviews and permit management.

Step 1

Site visit

We start with your goals, budget and timeline, and we look at the site before we price anything.

Proposal

You get a detailed scope, a line-item estimate and a schedule you can hold us to.
Step 3

Construction

A project manager and a superintendent run the job and send you photos every week.
Step 4

Closeout

We walk the job with you, finish the punch list and hand over the closeout documents and warranty.
